Le Havre sporting director Mathieu Bodmer talked about how the fans reacted to the performance of Russian midfielder Daler Kuzyaev in the team. Bodmer’s words are quoted as follows: Sports24.
“We had no fears about signing a Russian player. This is not a problem for the club. Kuzyaev was well received by his teammates. The fans adore him!” – said Bodmer.
On September 4, L’Équipe published an article titled “The best and worst players of the Le Havre – Lorient match: Kuzyaev, a king is born.” The Russian player received seven points out of a possible ten from the French newspaper, while his partners, defender Gautier Lloris and midfielder Yassin Keshta, also received the same score. These points were at their highest at the end of the match.
Kuzyaev, along with Monaco midfielder Alexander Golovin, was included in the symbol squad of the fourth round of the French championship.
On July 12, the Russian signed a contract with the French club until the summer of 2025. Before that, he played for Zenit for six years. He has seven appearances for the French club in which he scored two goals.
Formerly Bodmer statedthat the team is happy with Kuzyaev.
