The second round match of the Europa League group stage, where Cypriot Aris hosted Scottish Rangers, has ended. The match held in Kolossi ended with the Cypriot team winning 2:1.
Aris player Muketu-Moussunda opened the scoring in the ninth minute of the match. In the 69th minute, the home team doubled the difference with Javi Babika. Abdullah Sima scored Rangers’ only goal in the 70th minute.
Russian Aris forward Alexander Kokorin came on the field in the 68th minute but could not be effective.
Thus, Aris is in second place in Group C with three points after two matches played. Rangers also took three points but remain in fourth place. At the top of the group is Sparta Prague, which also won three points.
In the next round, Aris will face Beşiktaş and Rangers will face Sparta. Both matches will be played on October 26.
