Minnesota forward Kirill Kaprizov said that the team’s goal for the season is to reach the Stanley Cup play-offs. His words are quoted official league website.

“I stay calm but of course I’m super motivated, super hungry and the fire inside me is burning. You learn from your mistakes every year. You accept these losses and learn from them. You’re trying to get better.

I’m not a fan of guessing or setting expectations in advance. I will show myself and do my best, and I expect the team to do the same, show their best,” said Kaprizov.

In the National Hockey League (NHL) play-offs last season, Minnesota lost to Dallas Stars 2:4 in the 1/8 finals. Kaprizov appeared in all six matches of the series and scored only one goal.

The Russian forward played in 67 games in total for Minnesota during the NHL regular season, scoring 40 goals and making 35 assists. Ovechkin became the fifth most productive Russian after Malkin, Panarin and Kucherov. Kaprizov missed nearly a month due to injury.

Previously reportedWashington defeated Boston thanks to two assists from Kuznetsov.
