Igor Kolyvanov, former head coach of Moscow Torpedo, former mentor of the Russian youth team and currently president of Ivanovo Tekstilshchik, spoke about possible offers from the capital club. He told socialbites.ca that black-whites have not yet been invited to return to the bridge.
“There have been no offers so far. If there is, we will discuss it, but there is nothing to talk about for now,” said Kolyvanov.
On Tuesday, October 3, it was learned that Spanish specialist Josep Clotet was dismissed as Torpedo’s head coach. Clotet took over the team in March 2023, but could not save Torpedo from relegation from the Russian Premier League. In the current First League under his leadership, the team is in 10th place, collecting 17 points in 12 weeks. He resigned from his position after negotiations with the club management.
Kolyvanov was at the head of the black-whites in 2017-2019. He managed to lead the team to the National Football League (FNL, currently the Major Leagues), but left his position after the deal expired.
Previously Kolyvanov statedClotet disappointed him.
