Skating Lesson podcast host Dave Lees commented on Daughter of coach Eteri Tutberidze.
“I always believed in Eteri’s ability to persuade the jury to side with Diana Davis and Gleb Smolkin. Let me remind you, people thought I was crazy when I said Davis and Smolkin could be second in the U.S.,” Lees said.
After the Beijing Olympics, Davis and Smolkin lived and trained in the United States. On June 4, Liz announced the change of sports citizenship of athletes, and the next day the transfer of Gleb Smolkin and his partner Diana Davis to the Georgian national team was officially approved.
