Paris Nizhny Novgorod club football player Edgar Sevikyan was called to the Armenia national team. This has been reported official website Russian team.

The 21-year-old midfielder will play for the national team between 9-18 October. The Armenian national team will face Latvia on October 12 as part of the 2024 European Championship qualifiers, and will play a friendly match against North Macedonia on October 17.

In August, Sevikyan was invited to the Russian national team’s September training camp, but the player declined the invitation due to his decision to play for Armenia. The Russian Football Union (RFU) stated that they did not receive any request for the midfielder.

Sevikyan played 13 matches in all tournaments for Paris NN this season and scored 5 goals in these matches. Sergei Yuran’s team ranked seventh in the Russian Premier League (RPL) with 14 points after nine weeks.

Nizhny Novgorod team will face Lokomotiv Moscow in the next round (September 30).
