Silver medalist of the Pyeongchang 2018 Olympic Games in figure skating Alexander Enbert highly appreciated Elizaveta Tuktamysheva’s new short program to the song “I am the Sky” of the Sounduk group in an interview with socialbites.ca.
“I saw Liza’s program here in Sochi (Enbert and Tuktamysheva perform together there in Ilya Averbukh’s show. – socialbites.ca), so for me this was not the first viewing in test skating.
I already knew the music and had watched the production, but Elizaveta skated in the performances in a very inspiring way. It was truly the best performance I’ve ever seen. She was very immersed in her image and drew the entire audience in.
During her long career, Lisa has already tried many things, but I think the choice of such a short program can be called an innovation. Lisa chose an interesting song and was able to convey all its extraordinary,” Enbert noted.
The Olympic medalist also appreciated Tuktamysheva’s decision to deliver a lyrical performance in both the short and free programs.
“Regarding the two lyrical programs, Lisa did not change the free program, so there was a lot of overlap in styles. Yes, there is a certain similarity, but considering that you watched these programs on two different days, it turns out that you first watched a good short program and then a nice free program.
I liked the free program, it looked great last year and this year. Yes, not all the elements are ready yet, but I am sure everything will be fine,” said Enbert.
Previously Enbert named A mini performance on ice for the rental of Kamila Valieva in the image of Black Panther.
