Russian MMA fighter Vladimir Mineev said that he returned to the special operations zone immediately after the fight with Rafael Carvalho. His words are quoted “Match TV”.

“What will my next two months be like? They will look like a special. Like a military man. I have a special military operation. When should I return to my subject? Tomorrow. Now I finish and leave,” said Mineev.

Carvalho is a former Bellator champion. Mineev is the AMC Fight Nights champion.

Vladimir Mineev had his last fight under MMA rules against Magomed Ismailov on October 16 at the AMC Fight Nights tournament. He retained his middleweight belt by knocking out his opponent in the third round.

On November 18 in Moscow, the fighter defeated Brazilian Fernando Rodriguez in a fight according to kickboxing rules. Immediately after this fight, Mineev signed a contract to serve in the ranks of the Russian Armed Forces. He served in the Northern Military District area.
