The Spanish national team has used the international break in September 2023 to qualify for the Euro 2024 championship in Germany. After beating Georgia by seven goals to one in Tbilisi, they did the same against Cyprus on Tuesday.

La Roja was not expected to drop points in Los Cármenes against the weakest rival in Group A of the qualifying phase and who arrived in Granada having lost 0-3 at home to Scotland. And actually it didn’t happen. Spain crushed it and recorded another victory. Gavi, Merino, Joselu, Ferran (2) and debutant Álex Baena scored for La Roja.
