“Villarreal CF and José Rojo Martín ‘Pacheta’ have reached an agreement on the appointment of the Burgos native as coach of the Submarino during this 23-24 season. Together with Pacheta, Chema Monzón (second coach) Jorge Trigueros has signed with the club ( physical trainer) and Guillem Galmes (analyst).
The official press conference for the presentation will take place next Monday at 12:30 pm at the José Manuel Llaneza Sports City, during an event exclusively aimed at the media. This event can be seen live via VILLARREAL LIVE.

José Rojo Martín ‘Pacheta’ (Salas de los Infantes, Burgos, March 23, 1968) had a long career as a professional footballer and defended the interests of teams such as Numancia, Espanyol, Mérida, Real Burgos, Atlético Marbella and Racing Lermeño.
His career as a professional coach started on the bench of CD Numancia and later directed Real Oviedo, FC Cartagena, Korona Kielce from Poland, Hércules, Ratchaburi Mitr Phol from Thailand, Elche, Huesca and Valladolid. Among his successes as a coach, the two promotions to the First Division with Elche and Valladolid stand out.
In fact, it is worth noting that he achieved two promotions with the Elche team, one to Second Division A and the aforementioned to First Division.
