Brazilian Wendel talks about the failure of his departure from Zenit

St. Petersburg’s Brazilian football player Zenit Wendel stated that he could not change his club record in the 2023 summer transfer window and said that he was happy to be in the Russian club. Words lead the way Globo Esports.

“I always say that all parties should be satisfied. If not, life goes on. I’m happy at Zenith, St. Petersburg is a great city to live in. Anything can happen in the next window, I can’t say I want one or the other,” said the football player.

Wendel, 25, missed all of Zenit’s friendlies and PARI Premier Cup games. Without him, the blue-white-blues won the Russian Super Cup, beating CSKA in a penalty shootout. Wendel could go to Brazilian Flamengo, but the Russian club was not happy with the offer he received.

Wendel has been playing for Zenit since fall 2020. The Brazilian player played 33 games in all lanes with the blue-white-dark blue team last season, scoring 9 goals and providing 4 assists in these games.
