Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev advanced to the quarter-finals of the US Open by defeating Australian Alex de Minor in the fourth round of the tournament.

Medvedev, 27, is the third racket in the world. He has won five Professional Tennis Association titles this season.

The US Open is one of four Grand Slam tournaments currently held in New York City, USA. Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz is the reigning US Open champion. The last game of this season will be played on September 10.
