Russia Medvedev’s first racket reaches fourth round at US Open 08:37

Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev reached the fourth round of the US Open. In the third round, the Russians defeated Argentina’s Sebastian Baez.

The match, which lasted 2 hours and 34 minutes, ended with the score of 6:2, 6:2, 7:6 (8:6). In the next round, Medvedev will face Australian Alex de Minor.

On August 17, Daniil Medvedev lost to Alexander Zverev 4:6, 7:5, 4:6 in the third round of the tournament in Cincinnati. The match of the tennis players lasted 2 hours and 36 minutes. Prior to that, Medvedev had lost to De Minor in the quarterfinals of the Masters series tournament in Toronto.

Medvedev, 27, is the third racket in the world. He has won five Professional Tennis Association titles this season.

The US Open is one of four Grand Slam tournaments currently held in New York City, USA. Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz is the reigning US Open champion. The last game of this season will be played on September 10.
