Zenit CEO Medvedev on Ozdoev’s departure: He loves football in himself, not himself

Zenit CEO Alexander Medvedev commented on the departure of midfielder Magomed Ozdoev from the club. His words convey press office Petersburg club.

“Anyone who loves football within himself and not himself, could have stayed at Magomed Zenit, but he chose a different path. On behalf of the whole club, I wish him success in his future career!” said Medvedev.

Ozdoev has been playing for the club from the banks of the Neva since February 2018. During this time, he played in 116 games and scored 8 goals and made 18 assists. Together with the team, he became four-time RPL champion, twice won the Cup and the country’s Super Cup.

In this season of the Russian Premier League (RPL), Ozdoev appeared in 13 games, where he managed to score one goal and provide the same number of assists.

Recall that this season Zenit became the champion of Russia ahead of schedule. st. Petersburg team has 65 points in 30 games. According to the results of the Russian championship, Sochi football club took the second place with 56 points. Dynamo Moscow remained in the top three with 53 points.
