Vanoli: I am grateful to Spartak for giving me the opportunity to fight for the Kyrgyz Republic in Luzhniki, where I scored in the UEFA Cup final

Spartak head coach Paolo Vanoli said that his team will play in the final of the Russian Cup against Dynamo in the Luzhniki stadium. His words convey “Sport Express”.

“This is fate! It’s great that passion and desire sometimes lead to moments like this. I am grateful to the club for such a great opportunity. Vanoli is the opportunity to come out and fight for the trophy Spartak has long been waiting for, right at the stadium where I won the UEFA Cup by scoring in the final,” said Vanoli.

Recall that in 1999 the Luzhniki stadium hosted the UEFA Cup final between Parma and Marseille. The 3-0 win was won by the Parma players, to whom Vanoli scored.

The Russian Cup final will be played on 29 May.
