Parisian fans from the Collectif Ultras Paris group near the Inter Miami stadium held a banner dedicated to the forward: “Messi: we finally got rid of the brute.” The fans also hung a similar pennant in the match against Lens in the French Championship, this pennant dedicated only to Neymar, who left the club.
After two years with France’s Paris Saint-Germain team, Messi transferred to Inter Miami in the summer of 2023. Last season, Messi recorded 16 goals and 16 assists in 32 matches in the French championship.
