Russian player was not given a visa to Scotland before the Conference League match

Greek PAOK’s Russian football player Magomed Ozdoev failed to fly with the team to the Conference League qualifying playoff round away match with Scottish Hearts. According to the Greek edition of Sport24, the midfielder was not granted a visa.

PAOK is doing everything possible to allow Ozdoev to enter Scotland. The club hopes it can fly on its own on match day.

The meeting will take place on August 24 in Edinburgh. It starts at 21:45 Moscow time.

On August 7, Özdoev moved from Fatih Karagyumryuk to PAOK. In the 2022/23 season, he played 34 games for the Turkish club and scored five goals. Özdoev made his debut for Paok on 10 August in the third qualifying round of the Conference League against Croatian Hajduk (0:0).

Since 2014, the midfielder was called up to the Russian national team. In total, Ozdoev has 35 matches for the national team.
