Russian athletes will participate in the Sambo World Cup, which will be held in Kyrgyzstan on 22-23 August.

In addition to teams from Armenia, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Cameroon, China, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, athletes from Russia and Belarus will participate in the competition according to the decision of the International SAMBO Federation Executive Board. Athletes will compete according to the rules of sports and fighting sambo, and the competitions will be held in 48 weight categories.

Vasily Shestakov, president of the International SAMBO Federation (FIAS), said that the number of tournaments organized by FIAS is increasing every year.
