Vyacheslav Koloskov, Honorary President of the Russian Football Union (RFU), declined to comment on the punishment of Moscow Lokomotiv’s Russian striker Artem Dzyuba after an argument and scandalous behavior with a journalist. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
“Artem Dziuba is already in my liver. I’ve been arguing for three years, I’m already tired of it, ”said Koloskov.
The clash started after the journalist asked Dziuba if he was offended when he heard the words of Russian coach Igor Shalimov, who said the striker will not score more than two goals this season. The striker replied: “Listen, you will finish the game. I’ll stick my phone somewhere for you. You understand me? If you come again, I warned you for the last time.”
On August 16, the Control and Disciplinary Committee of the Russian Football Union (FTC RFU) decided that the striker was conditionally missing two matches. Dziuba was also fined 50 thousand rubles.
Dziuba joined Lokomotiv in February 2023. In May, he signed a new contract with the red-greens with the possibility of extending another year until the end of the 2023/24 season.
