Former striker of the Russian national team, Dmitry Bulykin, expressed the opinion that the former coach of the national team, Stanislav Cherchesov, will not stay in Europe, but will continue to work in the Russian Premier League (RPL). Bulykin told socialbites.ca that he would choose the club in which Cherchesov would like to work.
I think he will return to Russia, choose a club that will set high goals for himself. Because of course he doesn’t want to work in a simple club. Did he reject “Akhmat” just because it wasn’t that interesting? I think so,” Bulykin said.
Cherchesov’s last place of work was the Hungarian Ferencvaros, who, under the guidance of a Russian expert, became a two-time Hungarian champion and won the country’s Cup. Also in 2022, the Budapest club took first place in the Europa League group and directly advanced to the 1/8 final of the tournament, where it lost to the German Bayer.
The expert was sacked after the team was eliminated in the first round of the Champions League qualifying round. His wards could not cope with “Klaksvik” from the Faroe Islands, who played 0:0 away and lost 0:3 at home.
According to media reports, Cherchesov met with Akhmat and Rubin. The specialist himself denies this information.
Former Honorary President of the RFU Vyacheslav Koloskov saidWhether Russian football needs Cherchesov.
