Two-time Olympic champion Alexander Kozhevnikov spoke harshly to the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF), which disqualified Russian CSKA goalkeeper Ivan Fedotov for four months. Kozhevnikov quotes “Russian newspaper”.

“Everything is clear and understandable here – pure politics. Brutal, arrogant lawlessness, in which the IIHF and the president of this federation, Luc Tardif, acted as pawns. He was ordered – he did.

Americans, Swedes, Finns, Czechs – they all hate our country, our hockey. “Because they’re afraid of our team, of its power, and they think money is everything and we can be intimidated.”

On August 14, the IIHF penalized CSKA with a one-season international transfer ban. In addition, the team’s goalkeeper, Ivan Fedotov, will not be able to play in the KHL until August 31, 2023.

From July 2022 to July 2023 Fedotov served in the army. He currently had a contract with the Philadelphia Flyers NHL club.

In the 2023/24 season, Fedotov was supposed to play for CSKA in the KHL. The start of the new season is September 1.

Formerly former hockey player Denis Kulyash He insisted FHR will not leave the IIHF due to the danger of KHL players going to the NHL.
