“FHR has submitted documents from IIHF to HC CSKA for review. The club was given a period of seven days to develop a procedure for further action. If the club management deems it necessary to appeal the decision of the IIHF, the FHR will provide full support to HC CSKA in the consideration of the case before the IIHF Disciplinary Committee.
On 14 August, the IIHF penalized CSKA with a one-season international transfer ban for signing goalkeeper Ivan Fedotov. The goalkeeper will not be able to play in the Continental Hockey League (KHL) until 31 August 2023.
