Former Czech national team goalkeeper Dominik Hasek criticized Omsk Avangard hockey player Libor Szulak on his Twitter account for his performance in the Continental Hockey League (KHL).
Hasek said that Shulak’s work in Russia poses a danger to Dominik’s family. The legendary goalkeeper also believes that the Avangard defender in Russia creates values that are used against the Czech people.
“Libor, I blame our legislators for not protecting us from their dangerous actions,” Hasek said.
Hasek played for Spartak Moscow from 2010 to 2011. This club was the last club in the career of a hockey player. The goalkeeper has played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for Czech clubs as well as Chicago, Buffalo, Detroit and Ottawa.
Hasek has repeatedly criticized the Czech government for failing to impose a legislative ban on local athletes’ performances at tournaments in Russia. The publication Zprávy Aktuálně stated that the former hockey player will speak in the European Parliament and demand that representatives of Russia and Belarus be removed from any start.
