Organizer Bob Arum said that Ukrainian boxer Vasyl Lomachenko has decided to withdraw from the fight against American Shakur Stevenson in 2023. Transmits words Boxing Social.
Lomachenko refuses to fight this year. He wants to take a vacation. The plight still persists in Ukraine and is close to where he lives. That’s why he can’t really concentrate on the fight. I don’t think this has anything to do with Shakur,” Arum said.
Vasily Lomachenko won Olympic gold twice, in 2008 and 2012. He is also a two-time world champion and once a European Champion. In total, in his professional career, the Ukrainian played 20 fights, of which 17 won (11 by knockout). In his final fight in May 2023, Lomachenko lost to American Devin Haney, who defended the undisputed world title in WBA Super, WBO, IBF, WBC and The Ring.
