Russian snowboarder Vic Wild said he would not want to go to the 2026 Olympics under the US flag. DEA News.

“It would be easier to go to the Olympics with an American passport. I hope I don’t have to go to the Olympics with an American passport. I wouldn’t want to, I don’t plan to do that,” said Wilde.

Wild was born in Washington state. He played 11 seasons for the USA national team. After marrying Russian snowboarder Alena Zavarzina, she decided to change her citizenship to Russian. On December 21, 2012, he made his World Cup debut for the Russian team.

Wild won two gold medals at the 2014 Sochi Olympics. In 2022, Wilde added an Olympic bronze to the treasury. He announced his retirement right after the games.

Formerly Wild criticized Athletes who advocated the abolition of the Russians.
