The Italian coach of Real Madrid is accused of defrauding his image rights for 400,000 euros in 2014, according to “El Mundo”.

Carlo Ancelotti, coach of Real Madrid, is about to go to trial tax fraud, the newspaper “El Mundo” reported on Tuesday.

According to that information, the Italian coach of the Spanish national team is accused of fraud 400,000 euros of his image rights 2014, a year after he started his first internship at the merengue club.

“The magistrate concludes the investigation against the Real Madrid coach and claims that he hid his image rights during his first spell at the head of the white team,” publishes “El Mundo” in its digital edition.

The investigation into Ancelotti, which has now been completed, has been carried out by the court María Inmaculada Lova, who considers the former Milan coach guilty of tax fraud for failing to declare an amount of 400,000 euros derived from his image rights after his first season in charge of the Real Madrid bench.

This fraud against the treasury corresponds to 2014 and amounts to 386,361 euros. The reason? Hide your image rights from the Treasury. However, the coach acquits himself of the second tax offense that the Treasury has attributed to him so far, that of 2015, and he does so with strong reproaches to the tax inspectorate. What Ancelotti did declare faultless was his salary for that first season of his contract with Real Madrid, 13-14, which amounted to 5.8 million of euros.

El Mundo assures that Ancelotti himself admitted the facts and claims that he was badly advised by his tax advisors at the time. “Therefore, the trial that will be held soon will be concluded with an agreement in which the technician accepts a prison sentence that does not imply compliance with the payment of the defrauded quota and associated penalty.”
