Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva admitted that she did not shake hands with the referee after the Wimbledon 1/8 final match because she found the decision to award penalty points wrong.

“For me, this is a moot point, because I am not sure whether it is … I do not know which decision is correct. He is the judge, the person who makes the decision. But to be honest, I had no intention of launching the racket. I registered. I thought I would fall forward. Maybe I really looked like I threw my racket. He made his decision, the game is over. I did not shake his hand because I think he made the wrong decision, ”Andreeva said at the post-match press conference.

On July 10, Andreeva lost in three sets to the American Madison Keys with the scores of 6:3, 6:7, 2:6.

In the final match, the referee gave the Russian woman a penalty point for throwing a racket on the field.
