In the fourth round of Wimbledon, 16-year-old Russian Mirra Andreeva lost to the American Madison Keys.
The match, which lasted 2 hours and 4 minutes, ended with a score of 3:6, 7:6 (7:4), 6:2.
Keys will play the winner of the match between Russian representative Ekaterina Alexandrova and Belarusian Arina Sabolenko in the quarter-finals of Wimbledon.
In the third round match, Andreeva defeated Russian Anastasia Potapova. The match, which lasted 1 hour and 35 minutes, ended with 6:2, 7:5 equality.
Wimbledon started on July 3 and will run until July 16. The tournament’s prize fund is £44,700,000.
Russian and Belarusian tennis players compete in international tournaments impartially, after the International Olympic Committee (IOC) advised international organizations not to allow athletes from these countries to compete.
