Spanish football player Luis Suarez MiramontesThe football legend and Ballon d’Or died today at the age of 88 in the city of Milan (north), as announced by Inter Milan club, where he played and trained for years.
suarez (La Coruna, 1935) He came to Milan to play for Inter in the 1961/1962 season and remained in the city until the end of his days.
In 1954 he transferred from Coruña to FC Barcelona, where he played seven seasons and won six titles: two Leagues, two Spanish Cups and two Fair CupsAs well as the Ballon d’Or.
The footballer became the first Spaniard to win the Ballon d’Or in 1960, a feat that would not be repeated until Alexia Putellas won two gold globes in the women’s category in 2021 and 2022.
