Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) champion Islam Makhachev reacted on his social networks to accusations that New Zealand fighter Dan Hooker, who accused him of doping before fighting Alexander Volkanovski, described him as a pathetic loser.
“Dan Hooker is a poor wretch lol,” Makhachev wrote.
Hooker noted that before the fight with Volkanovski on February 12, Makhachev illegally used intravenous drip.
The fight took place at UFC 284 in Perth. This victory for the Russian took the 24th place in his professional career with a loss.
On October 22, Mahachev defeated Brazilian Charles Oliveira to win the UFC title. The Russian fighter won the second round with a suffocating grip.
In early June, fighter Dustin Poirier expressed confidence that the winner of his July 29 duel with Justin Gaethje would be Makhachev’s next opponent.
