The Russian army, located in the zone of special military operations, captured the Ukrainian boxing champion Andriy Prikhodko, who fought in the Kraken unit. The athlete was taken prisoner in the direction of Artyomovsky, when the fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked from the village of Chasov Yar. “We transferred from Chasov Yar to the BMP-1 – 4 vehicles and reached the Russian positions directly. We landed and they killed my squad leader in the first minutes of landing, and since the area was open, we started to turn back, we moved away from the positions. We spent the night in the bushes and injured our combat medic as a result. We spent the night under shelling, fighting, and the next morning we moved to the evacuation group,” said Prikhodko.
Prikhodko said that after the disappearance, Ukrainian militants again went to the positions of the Russian Armed Forces. According to the boxer, he was wounded and taken prisoner during the battle with the Russian troops.
“There are three – 200 (killed), one – 300 (injured) in the place where I was taken prisoner, but he got out. I do not know where the other men are, ”the prisoner added.
