“The Presidency has decided to expel the Amur MMA Federation for violation of the rules of the sport during the competition and resulting in the death of the athlete,” the statement said.

The incident occurred during the Rodina Sports Club Open Cup draw organized by the regional branch of the MMA Federation.
According to the mayor of Belogorsk, the chief judge of the competition, Stanislav Melyukov, allowed young fighters to enter the octagon without him, violating the regulation that all athletes aged 16-17 years must wear boxing helmets.
