Zenit St. Andrey Arshavin, Deputy Director General for sports development of St. Petersburg, remains at the club. It has been reported “RB Sports”.
“The rumors remained rumors. I’m staying at Zenit,” said the former football player.
On 16 June, the media reported that from 1 July Arshavin will most likely leave the club.
The former blue-and-white striker has been serving as an officer at Zenit since 2020. Bronze medalist of the 2008 European Championship, he held a senior position in the youth division of the club for two years, after which he began to engage in sports development.
Arshavin played for Zenit from 1999 to 2008. He then played for London Arsenal. In 2012, he played until 2015 in St. Petersburg, he returned to the club. Arshavin ended his career in Kazakhstan’s Kairat team in 2018.
