Iván Forte, captain of Eldense Sports Club, has been affiliated with the club since he was 6 years old. Both he and his family have felt colors throughout their lives and shared the same sense of rigging.

How is the promotion to the Second Division going?

It’s like a dream come true. I returned to the club of my life to experience this. I came back because President Pascual Pérez was going to develop a very ambitious project. and decided to downgrade to go three steps forward. It was not a quick process. but we made it. It seems I’m starting to come down from that cloud, even though I still think about all the things we’ve accomplished.

It must have been tough leaving the hometown team seeing you grow up. How did you experience this situation?

Yes, I finally left in my last year as a cadet because I wanted to earn my living from football and that’s when I saw at Eldense that it would be difficult. I decided to go and grow in the world of football and make money from it.. Luckily I did it because we all know it’s very complicated, there’s a lot of competition and high level required in all competitions.

I had a rewarding professional experience at La Nucía, but The moment I got the call from Deportivo I knew it was time to go back.. And I was not wrong.

This season was different because he didn’t have many minutes on the court…

It was difficult for me to adapt to this new situation because I spent many minutes in all the teams I was in and felt like an important player. This year has been a learning experience. I tried to contribute experience and wisdom In addition to broadcasting the most important matches calm this seniority he gives to the rest of my colleagues. For me It was very important to feel that they were listening to me. And remember that I can help. I always thought it was very important to have a captain.

What exactly did you say to your teammates in the last playoff game as captain?

It’s not just what’s said before the game. It was a little conspiracy from last Monday. I had time to tell them it was a game that could change your life.not only to them, but to their families as well. As the meeting approaches nerves go in. I tried to convey at group level peace and security in each. It is very important that a more experienced player in the football world comes along and tells you that he believes you. In this case it was me, because I played a few playoffs and I was in the situation they would be. My colleagues gave back everything I gave them with tears of joy. and I’m staying with that.

What do you think has been the key to success?

There has been no doubt the wardrobe we have. The human quality inside is unrivaled. I’ve been through many locker rooms and sometimes there are arguments. That doesn’t happen here, it’s going into the locker room and seeing people’s faces. always smiling cheerfully, that is essential. The mood is reflected on the field. there was no egoless participating players knew in this case accept this role even if it hurts usbecause we are all in the same boat and we all have to move in the same direction, towards the goal we set at the beginning of the season.

Do you plan to continue with Eldense next season?

I don’t know if I will continue, what needs to happen will come. I am a person who is always looking new challengesI never get tired of living in football and being close to the ball. I’m 34 years old but I feel goodOne way or another, we’ll see what I decide. I will always stick with Eldense. This club is everything to me. When I see those who feel the shield like me in the stands, I experience everything more intensely and I will eat the field to make everyone happy.
