The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has allowed Catalan Barcelona to play in the Champions League next season. Cadena SER.

UEFA investigators have completed an internal investigation into the Catalans’ cash payment to José María Enríquez Negreira, former vice-president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation technical committee.

UEFA launched an investigation against Barça in March, and a Spanish court accepted the prosecutor’s complaint about the blue garnets. The complaint alleges that the Catalan club paid Negreira more than 7 million euros between 2001 and 2018.

Enriques Negreira claims he only advises Barcelona on the referees’ decisions – the Catalans wanted to make sure the referees were not biased against him.
