El Millonario defeated Fluzao in a key match for his goal of reaching the round of 16.
On date 5 of Group D of the 2023 Copa Libertadores, River defeated Fluminense 2–0 at the Más Monumental. The Argentinian team needed a win to stay on their own in the competition and not have to wait for the result on the last day.
The millionaire understood that this duel was an expected final and he played it that way. From start to finish with pressure, tension and a lot of concentration. In the early stages he was the one who represented the most, even Beltrán had some opportunities to get ahead.
