Only one of these four teams will join Granada and Las Palmas on their journey to the First Division. The format is that of two semi-finals back and forth and the winners are measured in the grand final of this play-off. The winner of that game will play in the highest category of Spanish football.

In the first legs, Levante beat Albacete 1-3 while Eibar and Alavés drew 1-1 in Ipurúa. With a view to the second leg, it should be made clear that the greatest number of goals scored in the opposite field is not a decisive factor.

In case of a tie after 180 minutesthat is, if Albacete manages to win by two goals in Valencia or Alavés and Eibar draw again, there will be an extension but if after that extra time the match continues there are no penalty kicks in case of a draw, the team that finished better in the regular season qualifies. In this case Levante and Alavés.
