During the mixed martial arts tournament in the city of Belogorsk, Amur Region, a tragedy occurred: a 16-year-old athlete was shot in the head during a fight and later died in intensive care. The incident occurred during the Rodina Sports Club Open Cup draw organized by the regional branch of the MMA Federation.
The event was commented on by the head of Belogorsk, Stanislav Melyukov. He emphasized that all necessary legal procedures were followed for the participation of the athletes in the tournament. In particular, the regulation regarding the Cup was approved, and the consent of the parents was obtained for the participation of minors.

As the regional head Tatyana Shutrina said, Bogdan had no gym clothes yet, as he had been engaged in mixed martial arts for more than a year and competed in the tournament as a novice. Representatives from all over the Amur region came to the competition, a total of 31 people.
