Former Spartak mentor Raul Riancho spoke about the red-whites reaching the Russian Cup final. His words convey “Sport Express”.

“It would be nice if Spartak saved his unsuccessful season by winning the Cup. The fight with Dynamo will be difficult, as the characters of the teams are completely different. It will be difficult but interesting!” said Riancho.

On Wednesday, Paolo Vanoli’s bodyguards beat Yenisey in the semi-finals of the Russian Cup with a score of 3:0. The goals were scored by Quincy Promes, Zelimkhan Bakaev and Alexander Sobolev. The final of the tournament will be held on May 29 in Luzhniki. Red-whites’ opponent will be Dynamo Moscow.

The Muscovites last played in the Russian Cup final in 2006, where they beat CSKA 3-0.

At the Russian Championship, Spartak is in 9th place three laps before the finish line. In the next round, the Muscovites won their fourth consecutive title this season, Zenit St. Petersburg to face.
