Russian Tennis Federation (RTF) President Shamil Tarpischev evaluated Karen Khachanov’s chances in the 1/4 final match against Serbian Novak Djokovic at Roland Garros. TASS.

“Khachanov beat him in France, yes, but that happened hard at Bercy. On the field, the game is completely different and Karen has little chance objectively,” said Tarpishchev.

Khachanov will play Djokovic on June 6.

In the 1/8 final, Khachanov, who is 11th in the Tennis Professionals Association (ATP) ranking, defeated Lorenzo Sonego, the Italian representative, who is the 48th racket of the world. The match ended in favor of Khachanov with the score 1:6, 6:4, 7:6 (9:7), 6:1.

In the third round, Sonego knocked out Russia’s second racquet, Andrey Rublev.
