All semi-finalists of the World Junior Football Championship have been announced. The Uruguayan national team became the last team to reach the 1/2 finals of the tournament. The Uruguayans beat the USA team in the quarterfinals.
Thus, the Uruguayans will play with young players from Israel. The meeting will take place on 8 June. The starting whistle will sound at 20:30 Moscow time. In the other semi-finals, Italy and South Korea will meet. The game will be played at midnight on June 9th.
The tournament started on 20 May and will continue until 11 June. The tournament was originally supposed to be held in Indonesia, but on March 29, 2023, the country was denied the right to host the tournament due to protests against Israel’s participation in the tournament. On April 17, it was announced that the World Junior Championships will be held in Argentina.
