Russian tennis player Anna Blinkova failed to reach the 1/8 finals of the Roland Garros Grand Slam tournament held in Paris, the capital of France.
Ranked 56th in the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) ranking in the third round, the Russian woman lost to the 192nd racket of the world, Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina.
The match ended in favor of the Ukrainian representative 2:6, 6:2, 7:5.
The interview lasted 2 hours and 17 minutes.
Blinkova made two aces, made five double faults and converted six of 12 break points. Svitolina converted five hits, eight double faults and seven breaks.
At the end of the match, the Ukrainian traditionally refused to shake hands with the Russian tennis player.
Svitolina’s next opponent will be Russia’s first racket, Daria Kasatkina.
