Tampa Bay Lightning’s Russian forward Nikita Kucherov provided two assists in the National Hockey League (NHL) playoff game against the Toronto Maple Leafs (4:3).
The Russian had their 89th assist in the Stanley Cup playoffs, beating the legendary Brett Hull and Mike Modano, who had 87 and 88 assists in the knockout matches, respectively. Thus, the Russian takes 36th place in this indicator. Kucherov had one assist left before Brad Park had 90 assists in the NHL playoffs.
John Tavares, Morgan Reilly, William Nylander and Auston Matthews have scored for Toronto. Striker Ilya Mikheev played 15:43 and had an assist.
“Tampa” recorded Steven Stamkos, Victor Hedman and Ryan McDonagh. Goalkeeper Andrey Vasilevsky saved 21 of 25 shots. Defender Mikhail Sergachev played 21:42.
Toronto took a 3-2 lead in the series. Game six will be played on the “Tampa” ice on May 13. It starts at 2.30 Moscow time.
