Former Dynamo coach Petrushin commented on the extension of the contract with Smolov

Former Dynamo head coach Alexei Petrushin said that the blue-whites have extended their contract with forward Fedor Smolov. Transmits words “RB Sports”.

“Contract extension – marking period? The team is still young, so you need to have an experienced player. I’ve experienced this too. I started playing in the A team at the age of 20, then I had grown men around me. “This is normal, the right decision for the club,” said Petrushin.

Smolov, 32, has made 31 appearances, scored 12 goals and provided 6 assists in all competitions for Dynamo this season. Thanks to the 20-year-old Tyukavin, he had 37 games, 10 goals and seven assists.

Dynamo collected 45 points per round before the end of the Russian championship and is in seventh place in the championship standings. The blue-whites will play away with Orenburg in the last game of this season. The meeting will take place on June 3rd. It starts at 17:00 Moscow time.
