The club of the First Division “Rodina” from Moscow received the right to participate in the play-offs for the right to play in the next season of the Russian Premier League (RPL).

This became known after the appeal committee of the Russian Football Union (RFU) rejected the protest of Alania from Vladikavkaz over the decision to refuse the RFU-1 license, which gives the right to play in the RPL. Commission’s decision announced official site RFS.

Alania is in third place in the First Division standings and, according to sports principle, had to participate in the play-offs with one of the RPL clubs. The reason for not granting the appropriate license to the team is the failure to meet the criteria. In particular, the construction of the Alania stadium in Vladikavkaz is far from complete and the team is forced to play home matches in other cities. Thus, Rodina Moscow, who is in fifth place in the league, will take her place.

Previously, the right to play in the play-offs was guaranteed by Enisey Krasnoyarsk, who will take fourth place in the final standings of the First Division. The club received the necessary license “RFS-1”.

RPL clubs “Fakel”, “Wings of the Soviets” and “Paris Nizhny Novgorod” are competing to enter the play-offs. Recall that teams placed 13th and 14th in the final table of a higher division will participate in transition matches with Premier Division clubs.

Petersburg “Zenith” and former striker of the Russian national football team Andrey Arshavin declarationRussian Premier League (RPL) clubs will try to avoid facing Krasnoyarsk Enisey in the play-offs for the right to play in the top division next season.
