Bayern Munich’s owners may fire the club’s CEO Oliver Kahn for the lack of trophies in the 2022/23 season, journalist and insider Nicolo Schira reported on a social network.

According to him, the future of the former Bayern goalkeeper is yet to be determined. The owners blame him for the team’s bad season, which was eliminated from the Champions League in the quarterfinals against Manchester City 1-4 on aggregate. In the German Cup draw, the Munich team could not reach the semi-finals.

The manager change didn’t help Bayern either – Thomas Tuchel replaced Julian Nagelsmann throughout the season.

On 27 May, the final matches, the 34th leg of the German championship, will be played. All games will start at 16:30 Moscow time.

One week before the end of the season, Bayern are in second place in the Bundesliga with 68 points. Borussia Dortmund are in the lead with 70 points.

Former Bayern Munich CEO Oliver Kahn spoke about the possibility of the club losing their lead in the German championship standings.
