The absolute women’s rowing team of Real Club de Regatas has been declared champion of Spain at the Spanish Llaüt del Mediterráneo Championship, held in Malaga this weekend. In a contentious final, jerseys Alicante team took first place after an incredible performance. However, this was not the only success of the regatta club in this competition. The junior men’s team also won a gold medal. The young rowers of the Club de Regatas showed “they have great potential and talent”.
Alicante Regatta Club sent a total of 67 athletes and coaches to Malaga to defend the colors of the institution in the Mediterranean Spanish Fixed Bench Championship. The club competed in a total of 7 of the 8 categories of the competition. RCRA achieved second place in the medal table by clubs. Miguel López, president of the sports institution, “These achievements are a source of pride for the club as they are the result of teamwork and the dedication of our rowers, and for that we want to thank everyone who made this possible,” he said.
It is worth noting that in the remaining categories, the men’s cadet team came first despite being disqualified for a rule violation on the allocated street. These rowers made the final with great determination and talent. Male veterans finished second in their category. Experienced rowers achieved excellent performance thanks to their dedication. In a very close competition, the Female Cadets showed their strength and skills and achieved an extraordinary fourth place.
