Sports psychologist Vadim Gushchin has commented on the dismissal of Spartak striker Alexander Sobolev for making an obscene gesture to CSKA player Willian Roshi in the 28th-week match of the Russian Premier League (RPL). Transmits words “Sport by Day”.
“There is a naughty boy in front of us. An extra long penalty should be mentioned here because in fact, the entire league, our entire football has been disgraced. Millions of people saw how well-paid players who were candidates for the Russian national team behaved. It has tarnished the honor of the RPL, whose leadership should at least be taken care of,” Gushchin said.
On 21 May, in the match played between Spartak Moscow and CSKA in the 28th week of the RPL (2-1), the head referee of the match, Sergey Karasev, showed two red cards and scored an 11-meter kick twice.
Recall that in one of the game segments of the second half, CSKA defender Willian Rocha fell on the grass in his own penalty area after a fight with Spartak forward Alexander Sobolev.
The striker grabbed his groin as a gesture to the Brazilian. A few minutes later, Rocha repeated this gesture himself, trying to explain to the referees what Sobolev had shown him. As a result, both players were sent off the field.
CSKA announced its intention to apply to the Expert Referee Commission of the Russian Football Union (ESC RFU) regarding this incident, with the appointment of a penalty at the end of the meeting.
