The “Valencia” football club press service reported that the “bat” supporter who was present during the match against Real Madrid died in the hospital.
Causes of death were not specified. It was reported that the fan died in the hospital where he was removed from the stadium.
The match of the 35th week of the Spanish championship was played at the Mestalla stadium in Valencia on 21 May and ended with a 1-0 victory by the hosts.
In the middle of the second half, the match had to be interrupted due to insults against Brazilian striker Real Madrid Vinicius Junior. Valencia fans called the player a monkey. Vinicius was expelled at the end of the meeting for getting involved in a fight with his rivals.
Thanks to this win, Valencia collected 40 points and moved up to 13th place in the La Liga standings. Madrid club has accumulated 71 points and is in third place.
