Two-time Olympic fencing champion Sofia Velikaya said she didn’t know anything about her exhibition match with figure skater Alina Zagitova.

It was previously reported that Velikaya and Zagitova will play a fencing match in Luzhniki on July 1 as part of the Moscow Sports Day celebrations.
In June 2022, Zagitova held a boxing master class as part of the Moscow Sports Day, organized by the Moscow Department of Sports. The figure skater’s partner at the Luzhniki event was two-time Olympic champion Oleg Saitov.
Zagitova became the Olympic champion at the Games in Pyeongchang, Korea in 2018. In addition to the victory at the Olympic Games-2018, the athlete won silver of the Games in team competitions, as well as victories in the Russian, European, world championships and the Grand Prix final.
